The Amazon Bullet Point Formula: 5 Bullets That Convert

Copywriting · 6 min read

Five bullets. That's all the scannable real estate you get before a shopper decides to click "Add to Cart" or bounce. Most sellers waste it repeating keywords. The winners use a structure that answers one question per bullet — and never trips a policy flag.

The structure (one job per bullet)

Think of your five bullets as five seats at a table. Each seat has one job:

1. Material & quality → what it's made of, why it lasts.
2. Core benefit → the single biggest problem it solves.
3. Use case / scenario → when and where they'll use it.
4. Differentiator → what makes it better than the $5 alternative.
5. Peace of mind → size, care, warranty, what's in the box.

Bullet 1 — Material & quality

Lead with substance, not adjectives. "Made from 320GSM brushed cotton" beats "premium soft material" every time. Specific numbers build trust and survive Amazon's spam filter.

Template: "Crafted from [material] at [spec/weight], built to [durable claim with proof]."

Bullet 2 — Core benefit

Name the outcome, not the feature. "Keeps coffee hot for 12 hours" outsells "double-wall vacuum insulation" because the buyer cares about the result, not the mechanism.

Bullet 3 — Use case

Help them picture it. "Ideal for the 6am commute, the gym, and the desk that never sees lunch." Scenarios trigger recognition — and recognition converts.

Bullet 4 — Differentiator

This is where you separate from the sea of sameness. One concrete edge: "Leak-proof lid tested to 200 flips" beats "best bottle ever". Avoid #1 and Best Seller — those are suppressions waiting to happen.

Bullet 5 — Peace of mind

Close with the practical stuff: dimensions, what's included, care instructions, and any guarantee. Remove the last hesitation.

Anti-pattern: "Waterproof waterproof waterproof case iPhone case best seller #1 buy now" → reads as spam, invites suppression. One keyword per bullet, natural language always.

Writing five bullets this way takes ten minutes and out-converts a keyword-stuffed wall every time. If you'd rather not hand-write them across nine marketplaces, that's exactly what we built — paste your product once, get compliant, converting bullets in every language.
